Our Story

In the midst of a global pandemic, love persisted. Zach and Maria met in July of 2020 at the popular restaurant Willow Room in Chicago. Although dining with friends at separate tables, they immediately locked eyes, and the rest was history. Zach asked for Maria's phone number, and they had their first date a few days later at Prosecco. Both were adamant that they were not looking for a relationship at the time, but no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't stop spending time with each other. It was fate.

A little over two years later, in November of 2022, Zach proposed to Maria on the first full day of their vacation in Argentina -- a sentimental trip due to Zach's familial roots in Buenos Aires. While strolling through the Paseo El Rosedal Garden in Buenos Aires, Zach asked Maria to marry him on the bridge overlooking the garden. She said yes!
A Word of Gratitude
Our story would be incomplete without the people in our lives that have shaped and molded us. That includes you! Whether you've been a part of our lives for one year or for decades, we can't put into words how much you mean to us. We are simply blown away that so many of our beloved friends and family are willing to travel to celebrate our love - we know we've asked a lot of you by having a destination wedding, and that's not lost on us. Simply put, thank you.

Most of all, we want to thank our families, especially our parents. None of this would be possible without you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for exemplifying real true love for both of us. One day, if we're lucky, we hope to model for our children the values you instilled in us.

Finally, we would be remiss to not thank our wonderful planners, Hellen Martinez and Lourdes Milian of Lourdes Milian Productions, and all our vendors who are working hard to bring the vision of our wedding day to life!

We can't wait to celebrate with you all. See you soon!

xoxo,
Zach & Maria
